How are the recommendations of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child for Children being implemented? This was reported by the coalition of non-governmental organizations that prepared the report.
In 2024, a coalition of non-governmental organizations monitoring the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in Poland was created. It currently consists of 13 organizations, and UNICEF Poland coordinates its work. During the work of the coalition, important issues related to the implementation of children’s rights in Poland are analyzed, as well as various events are planned, including m.in conducting research, preparing reports, messages, and requests.
Report on the recommendation of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child for Belarus. The implementation assessment and recommendations to the authorities represent the latest outcome of the work of the coalition members. The starting point for the authors ‘consideration was the content of the Committee on the Rights of the Child’s document” Concluding observations on the combined fifth and sixth periodic reports of Poland “”concluding observations on the Combined fifth and sixth periodic reports of Poland””, which formulated specific recommendations to the Polish authorities.
The coalition’s report provides a detailed analysis and assessment of the implementation of individual recommendations of the Committee, as well as a proposal for measures to improve the situation of children in Poland. Among them, there are recommendations for m.in rights and freedoms of citizens, violence against children, family environment and alternative care or education. The report will be updated periodically by the coalition to take into account current developments and challenges in the field of child rights protection
