Advice for parents Lighthouse
We support parents of young children. We protect young children (up to 6 years of age) from harm through education, support and therapy for parents. We know that violence against children often occurs because of parents’ helplessness and confusion, their frustration and lack of parenting skills. We offer parents free psychological and psychiatric consultations, therapy sessions and psychoeducational workshops, support groups and therapy groups focused on mentalisation and perceiving the parent as a beacon.
Child in legal proceedings
We care about children’s issues by actively engaging in the Polish law-making process. Our goal is to ensure protection for the youngest in selected areas of legislation. We carry out lobbying activities by preparing statements addressed to decision-makers, issuing opinions on new and amended legal acts, participating in the work of selected parliamentary committees, diagnosing areas requiring the creation or amendment of laws, and raising politicians’ awareness of issues related to the legal protection of children.
Education
We conduct educational activities for professionals working with children: teachers, carers, educators, social workers, doctors, nurses, police officers, lawyers, etc., who can identify the problem and intervene. We organise training courses, seminars, conferences and webinars, and we also develop publications, guides and e-learning courses.
National Coalition for Child Protection
We believe that through joint action by non-governmental organisations, in cooperation with public institutions, we can effectively realise the vision of a world in which children are subjects of the rights guaranteed by the Convention on the Rights of the Child. We strive to ensure that all children have a safe childhood and are treated with respect for their dignity and individuality. On 9 October 2023, we established the National Coalition for the Protection of Children together with 15 other organisations.
Research and reports
Social campaigns on various aspects of child abuse raise public awareness of the dangers, sensitivity to the problem and the ability to respond appropriately to violence. We strive to ensure that adults know that they are morally responsible for the youngest members of society and are able to effectively protect their rights.
ReDirection program
Prevention is the most important way to reduce the scale of child abuse, including sexual abuse. That is why we are implementing the Finnish organisation Protect Children’s ReDirection programme in Poland, which is a self-help tool based on CBT theory for people who use or seek out child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

To help them effectively, we need your financial support! Every amount makes a difference.
